No Student Should Go Hungry.
The Woodland Hills Foundation supports students across our District through the Backpacks of Hope Program, providing weekend meals to 50β100 students throughout the school year.
At the high school, about 20 students each week rely on the Woodland Hills Food Pantry for essential meals and snacks. What many donβt know is that these same students once received Backpacks of Hope before the pantry existed.
Unfortunately, funding for the high school pantry ends this December.
With many families facing the end of SNAP benefits, the need has never been greater.
This is where the Woodland Hills Foundation will step in β keeping shelves stocked and ensuring our most in-need students have food every day of the week.
Your support helps us:
π₯« Provide weekend meals for grade and middle school students
π Keep the high school pantry filled with nutritious food
πͺ Ensure no child in Woodland Hills goes hungry
Together, we can make sure every student is nourished, focused, and ready to learn.
Your gift of just $10 a month will ensure that AT LEAST one student in WHSD won't go home hungry on the weekends for the whole school year!
For just $2.50 we can fill one backpack with 6 weekend meals for one of our most in-need students. For $100, we can fill that bag four times a month for ten months!
Our most at-risk students for food insecurity are also the ones most affected by the achievement gap, which can lead to poor academic outcomes with lifelong effects.
You'll help a student return to school on Mondays ready to learn!
Thank you for your contribution!
Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Please consider making a recurring donation to ensure that a child in Woodland Hills can count on a full stomach throughout the school year!
